Message from Mr Mountford
Harwich and Dovercourt High School is a vibrant, caring school serving the community. Every student is welcomed, challenged and supported to achieve their full potential and every student has opportunities and experiences to ensure their schooling is fulfilling and enjoyable.
At Harwich and Dovercourt High School we believe in partnerships between students, staff and the home. We believe in responsibility, ambition and commitment, where no challenge is too great and where great futures are nurtured.
Our goal is for every student to be proud of their efforts and achievement and for every parent and carer to be proud of their child, school and community. Our pledge is to work tirelessly in the pursuit of excellence.
Letter from our Deputy Headteacher
Year 9 Pathways Fayre
This will take place on 10th March 6.30-8.30pm in the School Hall. It is an opportunity for parents/carers of Year 9 students who are choosing their pathways for Years 10 and 11 to talk to subject leaders. There will also be talks in the Library to explain the process and to ask questions.
School breaks up for the Easter holidays at 3pm on Friday 4th April. Tuesday 22nd April is a staff training day and so students return to school on Wednesday 23rd April at the usual time.
Please help us with improving efficiency with HDHS communication to parents/carers by registering for e-mail correspondence at www.harwich.essex.sch.uk/consent.
HDHS would like feedback from the wider community about issues you think are a priority to improve any risky behaviours, health and well-being of Harwich and Dovercourt’s young people.
